Build your family tree, one person at a time
Start with Build my family tree on your timeline. The guide helps you add family members and friends, create their timelines and save important life events as Moments.
- Choose a relationship, such as Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, Grandma or Friend, and enter their name. You can also select an existing person timeline.
- Enter their birth year directly, then add month and day if you know them. You can use just a year or skip the date entirely.
- Choose life events such as a wedding, anniversary or birthday. Add the details you know; the guide saves these events as Moments. You can skip this step.
- Add photos or videos to a Moment now, or skip and upload them later.
- Invite the person by email as a contributor to their timeline, or do it later. Creating a timeline does not automatically create an account or send an invitation.
- Choose another person to keep building, or finish and explore the timelines you created.
The Free plan includes up to 10 timelines in total, including your own. Adding an existing timeline to the guide does not use another timeline slot.
A timeline invitation grants access to that timeline. Review what it contains before inviting someone. You can share an individual Moment instead when you only want to share one event.
Guide 01
Upload and organise many files
- Open Upload and choose up to 30 supported photos or videos.
- Wait until every row says Uploaded.
- Use the selection ticks to choose all files or a smaller group.
- Select an existing Moment and one or more person timelines.
- Review the proposed date or detected coordinates and apply.
- Repeat with another selection when a batch contains several events.
Tip: Start with folders of 50–200 files. Very large individual videos are limited to 1 GB during the pilot.

Create timelines for your family
Start with Build my family tree on your timeline. The guide helps you add family members and friends, create their timelines and save important life events as Moments.
A Moment may appear on several timelines simultaneously. Creating a timeline for another person does not create their user account or expose your future uploads.
Ownership transfer: Transferring a timeline to the person’s own account is planned, but is not available yet. Until then, invite their account to the relevant Moments.

Build Moments and tag people
A Moment is the event album behind a point in time: a wedding, holiday, birthday, school day or ordinary Sunday. Add its title, date, place and type, then select all timelines it belongs to. Person tagging is manual and transparent; Memmie does not currently perform automatic facial recognition.

Find and relive memories
Library filters operate on your live data. Combine Moment, event type, person, timeline, place and date range. Change the result between thumbnails, covers and list, then tap an item for fullscreen viewing. Swipe on mobile or use arrow keys on desktop.
Guide 06
Control or delete your data
Media storage is private and displayed through short-lived links. Sharing is per Moment. To permanently remove your account and stored files, open Settings, choose Delete my account and type DELETE. This action cannot be undone.
